Let’s Create a Landing Page Using WordPress

We are going to assume that we already have our website up and running and that we want to add our landing page.

What Should a Good Landing Page Include?

• A clear headline that says what you offer and who it is for.
• A short supporting text that explains the benefit in a few lines.
• One call to action, such as “Download the guide” or “Book a call”, repeated where it makes sense.
• A simple form that only asks for what you really need. Every extra field can reduce the number of people who complete it.
• Real proof, such as genuine testimonials, logos of clients you have worked with, or examples of your work. Do not invent them.
• An image or video that supports the offer without distracting from it.

Landing Page vs Homepage

Your homepage introduces the whole website and sends visitors in many directions. A landing page has one purpose and one action. That is why it usually has no full navigation menu and no distracting links.

Before You Publish

• Check that the page looks good on mobile, where many visitors will arrive.
• Make sure it loads quickly: compress images and avoid unnecessary elements.
• Test the form and the confirmation message yourself.
• Decide how you will measure it, for example by counting form submissions or clicks on the main button.
• Add a clear title and meta description if you want the page to appear in search results.
